What we found, what we did, and how it turned out.
The homeowners were replacing failing cedar shake roofing that had begun curling and cracking after years of sun exposure. They wanted a long-term, low-maintenance solution that still fit the home's mountain-modern style.
We stripped the old shakes down to the deck, repaired several sections of sheathing, and installed a standing seam steel roof with concealed fasteners and a snow-retention system for the region's heavy winters. The crew completed the tear-off and install in four days with daily site cleanup.
